Pat McAfee, a former All-Pro punter for the Indianapolis Colts, is bringing his sports talk show to ESPN this fall as part of a multiyear deal. “The Pat McAfee Show” will be broadcast live weekdays on ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN’s YouTube channel. The show has gained national attention with its weekly interviews with quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the NFL season.

ESPN will announce the new weekday afternoon schedule before the show is launched this fall. “SportsCenter” will continue to be included in the schedule. ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro said that McAfee is a proven talent and that his show is a destination for athlete interviews and breaking news. He added that the show is the centerpiece of a growing community of sports fans.

Pat McAfee to Continue Analyst Role on ESPN’s “College GameDay”

McAfee will continue his analyst role on ESPN’s “College GameDay” and also host alternate broadcasts of ESPN’s college football telecasts. He said during ESPN’s presentation to advertisers that the substance and style of the show would not change despite its new home, but he wouldn’t swear “nearly as much.”

ESPN Announces Documentary Series on Serena Williams

ESPN has announced a documentary series on Serena Williams called “In the Arena: Serena Williams.” The series has started production and follows the 2021 “Man in the Arena: Tom Brady” series, which focused on each of the seasons Brady took his team to the Super Bowl. Williams won 23 singles titles in grand slam tournaments. The number of parts in the series has not been announced yet.
