Model Nina Agdal, who is engaged to Logan Paul, has filed a lawsuit against Dillon Danis, Paul’s upcoming boxing opponent, for revenge porn. According to court documents, Danis has engaged in a social media smear campaign against Agdal for about a month. The complaint alleges that Danis posted a sexually explicit photograph of Agdal without her consent.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Agdal’s attorneys have requested a temporary restraining order, a preliminary injunction to prevent Danis from posting more explicit content, and a permanent restraining order. On Thursday, Judge Madeline Cox Arleo granted Agdal the temporary restraining order while the litigation continues.
Agdal’s complaint accuses Danis of two counts of disclosure of an intimate image and one count of invasion of privacy. The United States’ revenge porn statute, the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization from 2022, as well as a New Jersey statute against invasion of privacy, are cited as grounds for the charges. Agdal’s legal team argues that Danis’ actions constitute cyber harassment and bullying.
According to the complaint, the explicit photo was taken over a decade ago without Agdal’s consent during a romantic encounter. Danis initially deleted the post at the request of fight promoter Misfits Boxing, who threatened to cancel his bout with Paul if he refused. However, Agdal is seeking damages of at least $150,000 and the profits Danis has made from his social media posts about her. The complaint also requests restraining orders against anyone associated with Danis.
Logan Paul and Dillon Danis are scheduled to face each other in a boxing match on October 14 in Manchester, England. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Danis remains confident and told ESPN, “I will beat Logan and this case.” Paul’s team declined to comment on the lawsuit, and Agdal’s legal team has not yet provided a response to ESPN’s request for comment.
