Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley has once again been recognized for his exceptional leadership and camaraderie on and off the court by winning the NBA’s Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award for the second time in his career. Conley, who previously received the honor in 2018-19, secured a total of 1172 points with 51 first-place votes, surpassing his competitors Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges and New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

The selection process involves the league’s players voting on the award each year after the candidates are narrowed down to six players from each conference, with no team having more than one representative in the running. Alongside Conley, Bridges, and Brunson, the other nominees included notable players such as T.J. McConnell, Georges Niang, Al Horford, Larry Nance Jr., Jalen Williams, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dwight Powell, Harrison Barnes, and Markelle Fultz.

In addition to his double win of the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award, Conley, who now boasts a 17-year-long NBA career, has also been honored with the league’s sportsmanship award on four occasions. His consistent display of sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork has earned him respect and admiration from both his peers and fans alike.

This honor marks the sixth award to be presented by the NBA this season, following recognitions for Most Improved Player, Sixth Man of the Year, Clutch Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year. As the season progresses, the league will continue to unveil additional accolades, such as the Hustle Award, Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and Defensive Player of the Year, in addition to announcing selections for the All-NBA, All-Defensive, and All-Rookie teams.

Through his outstanding contributions to his team, both on and off the court, Mike Conley has solidified his reputation as a dedicated and reliable teammate, earning the admiration and respect of the basketball community. His repeated success in receiving the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award is a testament to his leadership qualities and positive impact within the sport.
