The Bahrain Grand Prix is just around the corner, and F1 fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2024 season. Teams have been hard at work getting their new cars ready for launch, and the dates for these much-anticipated events have been announced. Haas was the first team to unveil its 2024 car, the VF-24. Unlike most of the grid, Haas chose to reveal its car significantly earlier. The team will have a new look this season following Sauber’s sponsorship deal with Australian streaming platform Kick.com. With their previous deal with Alfa Romeo ending in 2023, a name change was expected for the 2024 season.
Williams will also be revealing their new car, the FW46, along with its livery at a launch event on 5 February 2024. The event will be live-streamed from Puma’s flagship store in New York City at 2:40pm (GMT). Team principal James Vowles made the decision to halt the development of the 2023 car early to allocate more resources and efforts to this year’s challenger. He believes that the 2024 Williams car will have improved performance, including changes to the vehicle dynamics.
Alpine will be launching their A524 on 7 February 2024. Fans can follow the live launch event on the team’s website at 3:30pm (GMT). The Enstone-based team has a special surprise prepared as they will unveil both their F1 car and their World Endurance Championship (WEC) car at the same time. This means fans can expect to see the A524 alongside Alpine’s WEC Hypercar.
RB, previously known as AlphaTauri, will announce their new car on 8 February 2024 at a special event in Las Vegas. Although the event will not be broadcast live, fans can catch the digital launch on RB’s social media platforms, including Instagram and X. RB recently underwent a rebranding in a multi-year deal with Visa, becoming the global partner for both RB and its sister squad, Red Bull.
Aston Martin will reveal their AMR24 at Silverstone on 12 February 2024. It is yet to be confirmed whether the event will be livestreamed, but fans can likely expect it to be broadcast on the team’s social media and YouTube channels. In the past, Aston Martin has live-streamed its launch events, and it is expected that this tradition will continue in 2024.
Ferrari is scheduled to launch their SF-24 on 13 February 2024 at 11am (GMT). Further details about the event are yet to be announced, but given Ferrari’s tradition of live launches, fans can anticipate another exciting live event for 2024. The team has recently extended the contract of driver Charles Leclerc and announced that Lewis Hamilton will be joining in 2025, replacing Carlos Sainz at the end of the year.
McLaren will reveal their MCL38 on 14 February 2024. The team has not yet announced the launch format but has already unveiled its 2024 livery, building anticipation for the event. McLaren has also secured an extension of Lando Norris’ contract beyond its original expiration date of 2025.
Mercedes will unveil their W15 on 14 February 2024 at Silverstone. The team has announced that it will be a “digital launch event” broadcasted live on their social media channels, including Facebook, X, and YouTube. This will be Mercedes’ final season with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who shocked fans with his decision to move to Ferrari in 2025.
Red Bull will be the last team to reveal their 2024 car, the RB20, on 15 February 2024. No further details have been announced by the team at this time.
