The team at BoxingInsider Promotions is no stranger to the complexities of organizing and promoting boxing events. However, our upcoming show at Sony Hall in Times Square on September 14 has been marred by an unfortunate series of setbacks that have compelled us to reschedule.

Within a mere 72 hours, we were confronted with an array of obstacles that tested our resilience and resourcefulness. Firstly, one of our fighters was denied clearance by the New York State Athletic Commission due to failed medical exams. This unexpected turn of events left us with one less bout on the already challenging card.

Additionally, another fighter tested positive for Covid-19, rendering him unable to participate in the event. The safety and well-being of our fighters, staff, and audience are of utmost importance to us, and thus we could not proceed without due regard for their health.

Furthermore, the individual slated to compete in the main event, contending for a title belt, fell ill and was urgently admitted to the hospital. While we sincerely hope for a swift and complete recovery, it became evident that his condition would make it impossible for him to perform at his best.

To compound our concerns, one of the fighters scheduled for an undercard bout sustained a severe back injury, leaving him with no alternative but to withdraw from the event. This unexpected blow significantly diminished the size and overall appeal of the show.

With the unfortunate culmination of these challenges, we found ourselves with only three fights, effectively comprising half of the originally planned lineup as of Monday evening. While it may have been tempting to proceed with such minimal content, we ultimately recognized that we could not endorse an event that did not meet our rigorous standards.

Since our inception as promoters of fights in the New York area, we have consistently aimed to uphold a certain level of quality and entertainment. And it is with this commitment in mind that we have concluded that the most prudent course of action is to postpone the event and reschedule it for October.

We understand that many boxing enthusiasts were eagerly looking forward to the September 14 show, and we deeply apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this decision. Rest assured, we are diligently working to put together an exciting new card for the rescheduled event, which we will announce in the near future.

For those who had already purchased tickets, we want to assure you that refunds will be available at the point of purchase. Whether through the fighters themselves or Ticketweb, your account will be duly credited to ensure a seamless resolution.

While the challenges we have faced in promoting our September 14 event have been disheartening, we remain resolute in our commitment to delivering exceptional boxing experiences. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we navigate these unexpected hurdles and strive to bring you an unforgettable event in the near future.
