American judge Jeffrey Benz, who served on the CAS panel at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, was involved in another controversial decision, allowing Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva to compete despite a positive test before the games. German law professor Ulrich Haas, well-known for his advisory role in the World Anti-Doping Agency, is one of the most sought-after judges in CAS proceedings.
