Indy NXT racer Jamie Chadwick has taken a significant step towards promoting female driving talent with the launch of ‘The Jamie Chadwick Series’. This initiative involves a year-long commitment to discovering new female drivers or supporting those who are already part of the system. Partnering with Daytona Motorsport, Chadwick is offering complimentary karting sessions for girls aged eight and over at all three venues on International Women’s Day (8 March). The aim is to provide young girls with a platform to experience karting and potentially explore a career in motorsport.

The all-female series, named after Chadwick herself, will take place exclusively at Daytona-run venues. Participants will have the privilege of being mentored by Chadwick, who is a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy. Having dominated the all-female W Series in previous years, Chadwick’s experience and insight will undoubtedly be invaluable to the aspiring female drivers. Through this mentorship program, young girls will have the opportunity to learn from a successful and established figure in the world of motorsport.

Unlike other initiatives like the F1 Academy, which cater to girls already involved in racing, Chadwick’s focus is on identifying untapped talent at the grassroots level. With only 13% of karters being female, there is a clear need to increase this number significantly in order to create more opportunities for female drivers in the sport. By encouraging more girls to try karting and providing support for those who are already passionate about the sport, Chadwick hopes to pave the way for more women to pursue careers in racing.

Chadwick’s vision goes beyond just increasing the number of female drivers on the track. She aims to promote diversity and inclusivity in a male-dominated sport, creating a more level playing field for aspiring female drivers. By providing young girls with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to excel in motorsport, Chadwick is leading the way towards a more gender-balanced future for racing.

‘The Jamie Chadwick Series’ is a groundbreaking initiative that has the potential to revolutionize the landscape of women’s motorsport. By empowering young girls, promoting diversity, and nurturing talent from an early age, Chadwick is setting a new standard for inclusivity and equality in racing. With her guidance and support, the next generation of female drivers will have the tools they need to succeed in a sport that has long been dominated by men.
